Sources and updates

Source priority

For lookup tools (calendar, memorial services, ceremonies, language, and so on) we prefer official bodies, official materials, and well-regarded dictionaries and references. Each page lists its main sources and the date last checked.

How we check

For numbers and specifications we rely on primary sources where possible (official help pages, government announcements, standards). For customs that are not fixed, we compare several sources, focus on the widely known form, and note regional differences and exceptions.

When we update

We update when a specification changes, when we find an error, or when a periodic review confirms the content. We do not rewrite dates in bulk; only the check date of a page we actually reviewed is updated.

Information that ages

For figures that change over time (such as social media limits or ad-rate guides) we note the reference date. These can drift from reality, so check the latest official information before any important decision.

On use of AI

We sometimes use AI while producing content, but we check it with human review and multiple sources before publishing. We avoid stating uncertain things as fact and note where views differ.
