About this tool

Estimate a range of video advertising revenue using view count and editable low and high revenue-per-thousand-view inputs.

The formula is views divided by 1,000, multiplied by RPM. RPM is realized revenue per thousand views, not the advertiser's bid.

Genre presets are editable examples for comparison. Geography, season, video length and ad fill can change actual RPM substantially.

Taxes, agency shares and production costs are excluded. The result is a scenario range, not guaranteed income.

FAQ
How much can 100,000 video views earn?
With an entered RPM range of JPY 150–500, the formula gives JPY 15,000–50,000. Replace the range with RPM from your own analytics when available.
What is RPM?
RPM is realized revenue divided by views and multiplied by 1,000. Views without an ad remain in the denominator, so it differs from an advertiser's rate.
What formula estimates revenue from views?
Divide views by 1,000 and multiply by RPM. Entering a low and high RPM gives a scenario range for the same view count.
Why can RPM differ by video topic?
Advertising demand and audience composition can differ by topic, producing different realized RPMs. The selectable figures are examples; prefer your own historical data.
