Quality controls JPEG or WebP re-encoding. Lower values usually create smaller files but can introduce artifacts around edges and text. For photographs, comparing results around 70–85% is a practical starting point.

Processing stays inside your browser and nothing is uploaded. By default the resolution is kept unchanged. For very large images you can uncheck "Keep the original resolution" to shrink the longest side to 4,096px before compressing.

You can export as WebP, JPEG, or PNG. WebP and JPEG use the quality slider; JPEG fills transparency with white and WebP keeps it. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency but ignores the quality slider and can be large for photos. Recompression can occasionally produce a larger file, so check the reported size.
