About this tool
Crop a photo into a square entirely in your browser. Adjust horizontal and vertical position and zoom, choose a background color and output size, then download a PNG or JPEG profile image without uploading it.
At 100% zoom, the image covers the square without gaps. Lower zoom reveals more of the original image, and any empty area uses the selected background color.
Horizontal and vertical position move the crop center. Adjust them until the face or logo is centered. The preview and downloaded image use the same placement.
Processing stays inside your browser and the image is not uploaded. Images longer than 4,096 pixels are reduced for responsiveness. Export at 512, 1,024, or 2,048 pixels square.

- No. Loading, positioning, cropping, and saving all happen inside your browser.
- Can the entire image fit inside the square?
- Lower the zoom below 100% to reveal more of the image. Empty space is filled with the chosen background color.
- Can I save with transparency?
- PNG preserves transparency in the source image, but empty canvas space is filled with the selected background color.
- Which size should I use for a profile image?
- If the destination is not fixed, 1,024 pixels provides room for later downscaling. Also confirm the platform's current requirements.
